Save Montgomery Woods
Please cross your fingers that Montgomery Woods will be saved from the fires a blazin in Northern California. The Montgomery Woods State Park houses the largest trees in the world, some up to 370 ft tall. This has always been one of my favorite places to go. My mom use to take my brother and I when we were kids. Let's hope that someday I will be able to bring my kids(if i have them).
In addition, there are also 1000 plus other fires up in Northern California!
Has anyone ever heard of control burns?

A STORY
1999, Santa Cruz, 102 Otis St.
This one day I was sweeping the front steps of my place when a bearded fellow walked up and started talking to me. “Rusty,” he said! “Rusty,” what’s up man? I haven’t seen you in days. Where ya been? “Um, around, I’m just kicking it on my day off.” Under my breath I whispered “Do we know each other?”
On and on in a stoney daze he spoke to me as if we were the bestest of buds. “You gonna help me fix up the van later? You helping me sell on Saturday at the flea market? Let’s go on a bike ride later,” he rambled. I nodded my head in disbelief as he went on and on about who knows what. As he left, I waived, said goodbye and figured I never see him again.
The next day at work and almost religiously for six years I saw this man. Sometimes he would remember me and sometimes he wouldn’t. We never spoke of our first interaction, but sometimes I remember it, vividly and as almost a welcoming to the beautifully quirky town of Santa Cruz.

Reason Hate my Job #1
Man Pam(Regional Vice President):"Can you enter this enrollment into the system?"
Ryan: "O, actually i don't do those, but Crystal does!"
Man Pam: "Crystal is answering the phone."
Ryan: "Uhhhhhhhh, ok!
Man Pam: "Are you sulking?"-She walks away.
Ryan(in my head): "Fuck you biatch, it's not job. I can't do everything"
I am actually having a great day, but it seems like the "Man" is always trying to bring me down.

Tonight after work a few of my fellow co-workers and I are heading over to the Anchor Steam Brewing Company for industry night. It makes me think of how when i was 14 i visited the Jelly Bean Factory. Wow, was that fun and o how I love those darn Jelly Beans. I have to say watermelon is the best. Anyways, don't think i'll see any jelly beans tonight. Unless!
